Handmade Ceramic Butter Dish, Blue Green Glaze

This small butter dish is ideal for half a block of butter (UK size). It has been glazed in shades of greens and blue with a moss green band that pulls downwards slightly. The base of the domed top has been left unglazed to allow the glaze to pull downwards and the base of the butter dish has been glazed in matching shades of blue and green. It has been carefully shaped by hand without the use of a potter's wheel.

Please note that this is not a 'perfect', round factory formed item and it has its own unique charm! This vessel has been formed individually by hand without using any moulds or a potter's wheel and it will therefore have its own individual character, shape and imperfections. All my pieces are glazed in food safe glazes.

As I am a small producer I am only able to make items in small batches, which means that on some occasions orders for multiple items will require making time. Every item I make is carefully shaped and built by hand without a potter’s wheel and will need to dry for anywhere between one to three weeks before being fired twice up to 1225 degrees.
