FAQs

How and when will my item be shipped?

1

As a general rule I give a dispatch time of 3-5 working days- this is the time it will take me to prepare and pack your items, not the shipping time. If you need a particularly speedy delivery then please contact me directly and I will confirm whether or not this is possible.

I use Royal Mail Second Class postage within the UK as standard, and International Tracked shipping for orders outside the UK. If you would like faster and/or tracked UK postage please select 1st Class or Tracked 24 when you place your order. For large and/or wholesale orders I will automatically send orders via courier.

Are your items dishwasher safe?

2

In general I would always recommend hand washing for handmade items, however all of my work is stoneware, meaning it is fired to extremely high temperatures and can technically withstand a dishwasher. If you have any doubts or concerns or predict extremely frequent washing or use particularly harsh detergents then hand washing may be a kinder option.

What if my item has been damaged during delivery or is delayed/lost?

3

Damage: this is thankfully quite rare but if your item arrives and is broken or damaged please immediately take a picture of the item and packaging in order for me to be able to make a claim for the damage. I do my absolute best to ensure items are wrapped carefully, with bubble wrap, bio degradable packing peanuts and firm cardboard boxes and will always replace any damaged items.
Delay: on some occasions delivery takes longer than expected and I ask that you are patient enough to give an item one month before considering it lost. I obviously have no control over postal services and when items have to transfer between different postal services and go through customs unexpected delays can occur.

Do you use plastic free packaging?

What is the process if I decide to return an item?

4

If you decide to return an item because you have changed your mind (within 7 days of receiving the item) I will refund the full purchase price of the item as soon as it is returned to me safely and undamaged. You will need to pay for the return postage and unfortunately I will not be able to refund the initial shipping costs. If you are returning an item from outside the UK please mark the item RETURNING MERCHANDISE FOR REFUND on your customs form. This is to ensure no customs charges are made, as I would have to deduct these from your refund. Please contact me first before returning an item to confirm the return process!

Yes! All my orders are packed in cardboard boxes and I use eco friendly packing peanuts made from corn starch, which are completely biodegradable. If you receive a parcel with any plastic contained it will be because I also try to re-use any packaging materials I receive, rather than just throw them away.
